The Economic Development Council of South Africa (EDCSA) was founded to professionalise the field of economic development in the country. Our members include economic development officers and practitioners from various sectors, including government departments, municipalities, social enterprises, and academia.
We are committed to improving the standards of practice within the economic development sector by offering professional designations, continuous learning opportunities, and a platform for networking and knowledge exchange.
Our goal is to build a community of experts who are equipped to lead and implement economic development initiatives that enhance the wellbeing of communities across South Africa.
